OUR Methods:
Bhasha seeks to provide an immersive experience for our members in a fun, collaborative, encouraging, and engaging atmosphere. To this end, we are committed to integrating Indian films, music, dance, games, and food into our meetings to improve auditory understanding capabilities and vocabulary.
In addition to training our members to become proficient in one or more Indian languages, our club focuses on preserving the diverse aspects of Indian culture and fostering a collaborative environment to learn.
OUR OFFICERS
Jackie Staiger
Welcome! I'm the President of Bhasha. I joined two years ago to learn Telugu (a South Indian language), though I'm always interested in learning more languages as well! We're currently working toward creating a more social and engaging environment for those who wish to learn and meet others who do as well.
Abel Thomas
I'm the vice president of Bhasha. I originally joined the club to learn Malayalam and meet new people. Now as an officer, I'm working towards expanding the club as well as helping bring together UCLA students from diverse backgrounds.
